Aurora Math ry is a Finnish non-profit association founded in 2025, based in Espoo. We host FIRST® LEGO® League competitions across Finland — from regional qualifiers to the national championship — giving children and young people meaningful STEM experiences outside the classroom.
Aurora Math ry was founded with a clear goal: to increase the visibility of mathematics and natural sciences in Finnish society and to provide children and young people with positive learning experiences outside school.
Our activities are guided by our bylaws — to promote the role of mathematics and natural sciences, organize educational events, and develop new ways of learning. FIRST® LEGO® League is our flagship program, where teams of kids tackle real-world science challenges, build robots, and compete with others across Finland.
Our team consists of experts in education, mathematics, natural sciences, art, communications, and technology, as well as STEM-enthusiastic volunteers. We work together so that more and more children can discover the joy of mathematics, science, and creative problem-solving.
Are you committed to supporting children and young people in technical and engineering education? With FLL Finland, you help students discover robotics, science, and technology through hands-on challenges, and build sustainable skills that matter for their future careers.
